Feasibility & Comprehensive Assessment

 

TBA Architects specializes in the provision of Designer Services relating to the development of Comprehensive Assessments for Massachusetts’ public buildings and grounds.

The results of these assessments are evaluated collectively to identify deficiencies requiring  renovation or repair, to determine current and future space needs, to assess the adequacy of current facilities to meet current and projected program needs, to identify opportunities to integrate changes to technology and feasible sustainable design options that offer modern and safe facilities, and to assess the program and building requirements for public and school buildings in light of Massachusetts Building Code, Massachusetts Architectural Access Board, and Americans with Disabilities Act Requirements and Massachusetts School Building Authority Standards. 

The TBA Design Team works collaboratively with our clients and the community inhabiting the facilities we assess to define project goals, determine the physical and fiscal feasibility of undertaking renovation, reuse, relocation, and new construction design alternatives to meet the unique requirements, and project goals of each municipality, school district and community we work with, and to create best-fit options for implementation in the construction phase.

TBA offers proven experience in developing innovative solutions for Massachusetts’ public buildings; our assessments deliver clear and understandable graphic analyses across categories of consideration and incorporate recommendations for renovations and upgrades, and design options and implementation  strategies  with complete cost estimates to achieve project goals for program-appropriate facilities that adequately address the space needs and program requirements unique to each municipality, school district, and community that we collaborate with.   Our strategies employ thoughtful application of design principles aimed both at developing realistic and prioritized maintenance and repair schedules designed specifically to satisfy goals set forth by municipal clients to meet annual budgeting requirements while maximizing the functional life cycle of the Buildings and Facilities and striving to creating facilities that are safe, functional, and  efficient while maximizing the comfort and livability of the built environment.
